Painting & Wall Finishing
The scope
Painting is judged on preparation. Walls are filled, skimmed and sanded before any finish coat goes on, because a good paint over a poor substrate reads as a poor wall under raking light.
Colours are matched against samples in the actual room and at the actual light level, not from a catalogue image. Specialist finishes — textured, limewash-look, or a flat deep colour that shows every defect — are sampled on site before the room is committed.
This is in-house work, so the crew that skims the walls is the crew that comes back to touch up after the cabinetry and the glass are installed.
